Okay, so I just went to the Well for a really late lunch/dinner today at about 5. I was a little unsure even after reading the other reviews cause it's a Saturday night and there were only a few people inside. But, thank god I sat down and ordered food. I went with two other friends.
We had their eggplant appetizer. It looks kind of small but is actually pretty filling for an appetizer. It has eggplant, zucchini, red onions, and spinach with a mix of tomato sauce and melted cheese on top. It was absolutely delicious (thanks for the recommendation in the earlier review!). For entree, we ordered a seafood pasta (my friend) which had a creamy alfredo sauce on top of penne and shrimp, salmon, and mushrooms. The sauce was so rich and creamy, but the mushrooms were the best. She said the shrimp was a tad overcooked and didn't like the fact that the skins were on. But I tried the penne, so yummy. I had a primavera pasta (a slight mix up with my order, I wanted the sandwich but the pasta seemed even better) with these really wide noodles (they were perfectly cooked! and great texture)with a tomato sauce (not sour at all) with sliced eggplant and zucchini with flat bread. Yum yum yum. And for dessert, the cheesecake, which isn't bad but I think the consistency of the actual cheesecake part could be better, the texture could be more smooth. We also ordered a creme brulee, which was absolutely amazing. The top thin layer of hard caramel and the super creamy inside..mmmMmMm. Anyways food was absolutely amazing, the portion size for the pastas are pretty big (couldn't finish).
The prices are fairly low too and are great value! I split my appetizer and dessert with my friend and paid 25 dollars with tips. So worth it. I didn't order any drinks though.
The service was great, the food came out a little slowly though. The waiter there was super friendly and very good about refilling our waters and asking how we liked our food.
Overall look of this restaurant is very clean, kind of fancy looking. It looks much like fine dining but is a bit small.
Absolutely recommended. Amazing food, great price, great smile, and great atmosphere. What more to ask for? My only problem with this place is that if you go to the washroom, there's a weird painting on the ground where if you sit on the toilet, the girl is staring at you, and the other girl in the picture is staring at the other girl's chest. And I just wish this place were bigger so I could have my birthday party here! Love this place!
