Pasta Polo

2754 Barnet Highway in Coquitlam.

Went here with my boyfriend for a late lunch/early dinner at about 4pm. It was almost empty, except for one other table, it picked up a bit a little later into our meal.

I like the atmosphere and the mood of this place. It's clean and relaxing, nice decorations. We were greeted as soon as we got in and was settled at a booth. The service was nice and the waiter came back to ask about our food and refilled our water without asking. Unfortunately we couldn't order from the lunch menu (it stops at 4, right when we were about to place our orders) so we chose from the dinner menu. We just got entrees, no appetizers or desserts.

I forgot what my boyfriend had..something with chicken on pasta. I had the eggplant one on pasta. It was okay, I liked the cheese topping on the eggplant a lot, but the actual eggplant kind of left an odd bitter taste in my mouth. The actual pasta was decent, but the tomato sauce that they used was kind of sour for me but still edible.

Overall, the value was okay and they give you a decent portioned meal. But I wouldn't come back for their pasta, it was only okay and plus I live in East Vancouver. My current favourite pasta joint would be the Well on Main (next to Bo Kong), fabulous food and decent prices.
