I know the menu says fine dining.. but it's not really? And it also says it's fusion food.. but it's not really that either. There's like 2 dishes that are "fusion". Other than that, it was decent. Came here for dinner though, not lunch. Will try the lunch special soon.
Came here with a couple of friends. We had the vegetable samosas to start, which were good. They were kind of small I think and took a long time for some reason. Friends ordered the butter chicken, another.. curry with chicken in it, the chicken biryani, and vegetable biryani. Side orders of plain naan and the bread basket which came with garlic naan, plain naan, and lechhedar parantha. All really good. Liked the butter chicken curry (just the curry sauce, I'm a vegetarian). Whatever curry with chicken it was, it had a little bit of a sweet taste to it? Also really good. Didn't like the chicken biryani so much, found it a little dry. But I loved my vegetable biryani, delicious. Medium spicy, with lots of veggies and big portion. None of us could finish our food, had to take it home. For dessert, we had the ras malai whi is an Indian cheese patty in a pistachio and almond sauce. First time we had Indian dessert, the texture is a little odd (kinda like soaked bread?) but flavour is great.
The waiter/chef was really nice, and gave us recommendations. Noticed a lot of people ordering take out. The dishes were reasonably priced (most entrees range from 10-13 dollars).
The restaurant can definitely use a better make over, the place is all ORANGE. Well I guess you can't miss it whenever you go past it. But it could use some more authentic decor besides the framed pictures.
I will definitely try the lunch special that everyone raves about. Recommended place for Indian food.
