Mui Garden

This place is your typical Chinese restaurant, with several locations throughout the Lower Mainland. My family normally goes to the one located at Victoria Drive, but the other locations as well. Typical Chinese food means a more Hong Kong style type of cuisine if you will.

Honestly, if you knew the waitresses there like my family does, service is wonderful. But if you don't, then it's alright, it's not bad at all compared to some other places. There are quite a few take out orders I would say, and their feature foods are their chicken, made in a Chinese style. Or called hai-nam, which really just means that the whole chicken is boiled, cooled in water, and chopped up and normally served with a green onion, ginger, and oil dipping, or even a kind of chicken chili sauce. But I think my (former) favourite dish there must be the curry. It has beef brisket and potatoes- and the sauce on the rice is absolutely yummy. The skewers are pretty good too, with a sauce served on the side, pineapples, and cucumbers.

This used to be one of my favourite Asian food style places to go, but no longer as I've turned into a vegetarian. But if you aren't, a definite try. Although my boyfriend went with his family once, and didn't like it. Probably cause they ordered the wrong foods.. and it's quite different from his usual Korean food.
